Held for the first time in 1929, Monaco GP can be easily nominated as the most glamorous and exclusive Grand Prix of the whole season.
The circuit passes by lots of iconic spots of the city like the Casino or the Hotel de Paris or the harbor where the luxury yachts are full of people enjoying the particular excitement that this race can give. This track is so different from the others that a special setup of the car is required: good grip is everything indeed and the team needs to deliver a car which makes the driver confident enough to push right next to the walls.
Driving a Formula One car in this narrow city circuit has been described by the three times World Champion Nelson Piquet as “riding your bicycle in your living room”. When Formula One car used to fit mighty V12 engines the noise were unbearable as the narrow buildings strongly amplify every sound; nowadays the city is at its best during these days and the glamorous parties in wonderful locations or on incredible boats are too many to count.
This is a race that any driver wants to win and the competition is always incredible.
